Pregnancy Test User information
When to Test
This pregnancy test can be used up to 4 days before your expected period, which is 5 days sooner than waiting until you miss your period to test.
- For best results it is recommended you test the day of your expected period. Levels of the pregnancy hormone vary greatly, which makes testing earlier less reliable.
- If you test early and get a negative result, it is recommended that retesting is done on the day of your expected period.
- In laboratory testing, this pregnancy test detected the pregnancy hormone levels in 53% of women 4 days before their expected period, in 74% at 3 days before their expected period, 84% at 2 days before their expected period and 87% at 1 day before their expected period.
- Approximately, 99% accurate at detecting typical pregnancy hormone levels from the day of expected period. Note that hormone levels may vary.
How to Take the Test
- Instructions: Collect your urine in a clean, dry, cup. Note, only a small volume is needed. (The first morning urine is highly recommended but not required). Remove the test cassette from the sealed pouch, place it on a flat, dry surface. Draw urine into the Urine Dropper provided. Hold the dropper upright about ½ inch above the test cassette, squeezing gently, add three drops of urine into the Round Well. Read test results after 3 minutes. Read results within 10 minutes of testing to be certain of accuracy.
- Limitations of the test: This pregnancy test is NOT reusable. Check with your physician if you can get unexpected results. Oral contraceptives, painkillers, antibiotics, other common drugs do not affect the results of the test.
How to Read the Results
- Positive Result: Two red lines will appear (intensity of lines may vary).
- Negative Result: One red line will appear at the C.
- Invalid: No visible lines appear; repeat test with a new test
