Well-being days days without class give us time to recharge, reflect, and focus on your mental, physical, and emotional health. Today’s a reminder – to slow down and focus on what makes you feel balanced and happy. Whether you choose to rest, move, connect, or create, make sure to use the time in a way that supports your overall wellness. Here are some ideas:

Get some R&R (rest and relaxation)

  • Unplug from screens and spend time in a calm environment, like a quiet corner in the library or a bench at the arboretum.
  • Sleep in or treat yourself to a nap.
  • Try mindfulness or meditation exercises to ease stress.

Amp your endorphins through exercise

  • Go for a walk or a run outside to get fresh air.
  • Try a new workout, such as yoga, Pilates, or strength training through Campus Rec.
  • Dance, stretch, or do any movement that brings you joy.

Eat some yum

  • Treat yourself to a favorite snack or comfort food in moderation.
  • Cook or order a nutritious meal that fuels your body and mind.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

Hang with your people

  • Plan a fun activity with a group, such as a game night or movie marathon.
  • Catch up with friends or family members through a call or in person.
  • Write a letter or message to someone you appreciate.

Find your bliss

  • Try journaling to reflect on your thoughts and emotions.
  • Engage in a hobby you enjoy, like painting, playing games, or crocheting.
  • Read a book or watch a movie that brings you joy.

Catch up on things

  • Declutter your room or workspace to create a refreshing environment.
  • Plan your upcoming week to reduce future stress.
  • Do small tasks that have been on your to-do list for a while.
