On Wednesday, March 5, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, take a break and join us at the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center for an immersive experience that combines music, science, and wellness. It’s free for all students, faculty, and staff and is brought to you in partnership by Student Wellness and Morehead Planetarium and Science Center in support of community wellness at Carolina.
Event Details
At the core of the event is I AM, a short film that combines the voice of Grammy®-nominated musician Radhika Vekaria and the cosmic imagery curated by NASA planetary scientist Nick Seigler.
The event is a multi-sensory experience that will guide you through a journey of reflection and curiosity within the planetarium. At the end, there will be Q&A session with Vekaria and Seigler to dive deeper into the creative process behind I AM.
Additionally, UNC Student Affairs will be on-hand with resources promoting healthy wellbeing and fun giveaways.
Itinerary
- 5:00 PM: Doors open
- 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM: I AM Screening
- 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM: Light refreshments will be offered, along with time to reflect on the experience. Interactive exhibits, the gift shop, and more will also be available for guests to enjoy.
