Flow Chart of Signs of Student Distress including the 3 A's: Academics (missing class, meetings or assignments ,diminished quality of work, expressing violence or despair through writing, responding to feedback with overblow reactions), Actions (verbal statements of distress, angry outbursts, Isolating, crying, expressing hopelessness, extreme worrying, making references to suicide),  Appearance (Poor hygiene, excessive exhaustion, visible weight changes, cuts burns or bruises, less eye contact, frequent illness, rapid or slurred speech, notable intoxication).
