One Act Peer Educators

Printer-friendly version

Peer educators are UNC-CH undergraduate students who would like to train other students in the four-hour One Act curriculum or the three-hour One Act for Greeks curriculum (requires completion of WMST 290 Leadership in Violence Prevention, approximately 30 hours of APPLES service-learning in the first semester and 10 each subsequent semester of involvement).

All peer educators are required to attend sessions where they learn presentation skills, facilitation skills, and other knowledge needed to present One Act.  Peer educators must also attend HAVEN training prior to leading a One Act training, and are strongly encouraged to be Safe Zone trained.

Peer Educators receive ongoing training during regular meeting times and practice the curricula in its entirety on their own time. Any interested member of One Act may serve as a peer educator while also being on any committee or serving as a committee chair if his/her/hir schedule allows.
