Student Blue RA / TA and PostDoc Insurance

Benefits and rates for the RA/TA and PostDoc Health Insurance Plans are available at Student Blue.

More information will become available for those RA/TA students with a Student Blue effective date of August 15 and were previously on the UNC System-Wide Student Health Insurance Plan with a termination date of July 31 regarding the 2 week gap in coverage.

RA/TA/PostDocs have 31 days after the termination of their insurance to purchase a new policy or enroll in COBRA. We strongly recommend continuing insurance coverage to avoid a 63 day gap without insurance. This gap can affect future insurance benefits for any pre-existing condition.
